Love Publishing with IngramSpark

I LOVE publishing with IngramSpark. As an author of three books, I find it very cost effective for what I do. I am not interested in paying a lot of money back to a publisher, in which I am doing all the work for. THANK YOU, IngramSpark, for allowing this platform.

Frequently Asked Questions about Ebooks

You will need an ISBN specifically for your ebook to publish. If you are in the United States, we can provide you a free ISBN.
The EPUB format is the official standard of the International Digital Publishing Forum, and is designed for reflowable content, meaning your ebook is optimized on any e-reading device.
You’ll need a hi-res cover image in a JPG format, and an EPUB file of your interior.
  • Your interior should be an EPUB 2 or 3 file that is no larger than 100MB.
  • No single image in your interior can be larger than 5.6 million pixels.
  • Include an internal cover image formatted to the same dimensions as your book’s interior. This image should be integrated into the layout of your book’s pages.
  • Do not include page numbers, including your table of contents.

  • We recommend using a professional designer or design program to create your EPUB and ensure it is compliant with retailer standards.
  • You can use an EPUB Validator, such as Pagina, to determine if your file will be compliant. Free resources such as Calibre are not recommended, as they generally do not create compliant EPUBs that meet retailer standards.
  • When you upload your file to IngramSpark, you will receive immediate on-screen errors if your file is not compliant.
  • We offer an EPUB conversion service if your print book is active with IngramSpark.
  • Fixed layout EPUBs are static, meaning the text and designs stay in place. This is commonly seen with children’s books, cookbooks, and other books that are design heavy.
  • Note: fixed layout EPUBs are limited in their distribution reach. They will only be available on Apple, Kobo, Libreka, eBooks.com, Baker & Taylor Blio, Bibliotheca, Bolinda, Hoopla, Mackin Education, Odilo, OverDrive, and Scribd. Barnes and Noble will accept fixed-layout EPUBs for children's books only.
  • Reflowable EPUBs are fluid and allow for more reader customization, such as changing font size and style. Novels and other text heavy books are often designed as reflowable.
  • Your publisher compensation will vary depending on the channel partner and the type of sale. You find more information about ebook sales models here.
