A Letter from the Director

Wednesday, December 10, 2025

Dear Authors and Publishing Partners,

As we close out 2025, I want to thank you for trusting us with your creative work. Helping bring your books to life and into the hands of readers, booksellers, libraries, and stores around the world is a responsibility we take seriously. Your dedication, innovation, and independent spirit push us forward, and the momentum you created this year is reflected in the progress we’ve made together.

This year, we’ve seen incredible momentum across the indie publishing and IngramSpark community. Together, we’ve built a platform that’s not just about publishing books; it’s about connecting voices and ideas to readers everywhere. We remain committed to making the new year one of simpler, more empowered self-publishing; one where every author is empowered to be everywhere books are sold. We’re introducing tools that expand your reach, strengthen discoverability, simplify book design, and support your success in an increasingly competitive marketplace, while continuing to deliver the reliable service you count on.

As we look toward 2026, we’re entering a new era of self-publishing that’s simpler, smarter, and more connected. You’ll see meaningful enhancements across a reimagined IngramSpark brand, one centered on empowerment, creativity, and reach, all designed to help you achieve even greater success as an indie author or publisher.

We’re building new tools and services that don’t just make publishing easier, but also make being discovered easier. Our new Metadata Assistant will help you optimize your book data with confidence, and our Cover Generator will make professional-quality design more accessible than ever. Free revisions are coming on January 1st, giving you more flexibility to refine your work without added fees. Be sure to watch your email for an announcement. In the meantime, check out our list of ways that thoughtful revisions can elevate your book.

Next year’s evolution goes beyond creation, it’s about connection. We’re expanding how you can reach readers directly through Bookfinity, where new discovery features will help bring more readers to your titles. And through our new full eCommerce storefront capabilities in the US, UK, and AU markets, you’ll have access to real, global opportunities to sell books directly to readers.

We’re also expanding the reach of your books into libraries and bookstores. By strengthening key discovery channels, we’re creating more opportunities for your titles to land in front of the librarians and booksellers who shape what readers find. With our growing network of professional review partners, including IndieReader and BookLife, and our new Curation Badges program for standout titles, we’re dedicated to elevating indie voices. Plus, with new promotional tools through IngramSpark Distribution, Ingram iD, iPage, and select Ingram Consumer brands, you’ll have even more ways to market your books and meaningfully connect with readers across the globe.

The vision for IngramSpark’s future is simple: to make indie publishing more powerful, more connected, and more rewarding for authors, for readers, and for the global indie book community we all share.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your creative process. We’re honored to support your work, your voice, and your path to readers.

Wishing you a strong finish to the year and an even more promising start to 2026.

Sincerely,
